The Great Dane Club Championship show Aug 6^th 2023.
I would like to thank The Great Dane Club for inviting me to judge on their 140^th anniversary, It was a real Honor & to all the exhibitors that entered there beautiful bitch`s under me.

Special Veteran Bitch, 4 (1)
1^st Mrs S Tempests CH Adoreadane Just the Ticket JW, A nicely mark Harlequin, 7 ½ years old, gave a lovely outline on the stand, she has good head plans & correct ear set, lovely long arched neck, adequate shoulder placement and a firm topline, very good rear angulation. Very erratic on the move today but overall, a lovely girl.
2^nd Miss A Mcgill`s Clannalba Elie Braigh Mharr for Karnduke. A 9-year-old fawn ageing beautifully, lovely long foreface, good ear set &long flowing neck, Adequate shoulder placement, good topline and rear angulation.  moved ok 
3<sup>rd</sup> Lady J Ingram`s Dainmajik Witch`s Brew AI. 

Minor Puppy Bitch, 2
1^st Miss T & Mrs L Pocock`s Tamzdane Appley ever after. Lightly marked Harlequin of 7 months, very well balanced for her age, head has good head plans with the kindest of expressions, good clean dark eyes & correct ear set, arched long neck going into an excellent shoulder placement, she has a good topline and enough rear angulation for her age, heavier built girl then my 2<sup>nd</sup>, moved very well and study. 
2<sup>nd</sup> Mrs P Price`s Devorins Zola via Leamap. Solid Black feminine bitch of just 6 months, gives a really beautiful outline on the stand, good head plans, lovely long foreface, slightly large ears but well placed, I am sure she will grow into them. Dark clean eyes, long flowing neck going into correct shoulder placement. Good topline. Was not settled on the move today but should be a very promising puppy as she matures and settles.

Puppy Bitch 3 (1)
1^st Mr J C, Mrs H & Miss C Dyson`s Primus Diamonds are forever Samdice.10 month old well marked brindle, correct head plans with dark mask & dark clean eyes, large ears but correctly set, long arched neck going into well placed shoulders. Good strong topline, little long at moment, good croup & rear angulation. Moved very well. Best Puppy Bitch and was pleased my co judge agreed for Best puppy in show. Congratulations.
2<sup>nd</sup> Miss C Lawson`s Droolakiss Thalia.  9-month-old blue, just changing coat at the moment, long fore face, good ear set, long arched neck. Adequate shoulders, good topline and rear angulation. Was not as settled on the move as my winner.

Junior Bitch 11 (1)
1^st Mr J C, Mrs H & Miss C Dyson`s Primus Bond girl with Samdice. Litter sister to my puppy winner, Another well marked Brindle, long fore face with dark mask, excellent shoulder placement, good topline and rear angulation. Moved ok.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mrs A Mclellan`s Kinnegans Daydream believer at Anadain. 17-month fawn with the kindest of expressions, dark mask & correct head plans. Correct ear set and adequate length of neck, well filled chest, could do with more angulation front and rear. Good topline, moved ok.
3^rd Mrs H & Miss L Baker`s Taradanes shining star over Preveli. 15-month-old fawn, this bitch would have been my winner if she had been more settled on the move so deserved a critique.
This young bitch gives a beautiful balanced outline on the stand, she has a feminine head with a excellent expression, she uses her ears to advantage, clean dark eyes, adequate shoulders, good topline and rear angulation. I hope I get to assess her again when more settled. 

Yearling Bitch 9
1^st Craig & Di Paolantonio`s Culseandanes Janet Weiss. 21-month-old fawn bitch, by far the best mover in this class and one of my best movers of the day, Such a sound and balanced girl throughout. She has a real classic head, long for face and such a kind expression, good clean dark eyes & good ear set. lovely arch neck going into excellent shoulders, tight elbows which a lot are lacking these days, tight cat like feet, good pasterns and flat bone. Excellent topline, deep ribcage, excellent croup and rear angulation, this girl storms around the ring with plenty of reach & drive, you can tell she has a fantastic bond with her handler and wants to please. She pleased me very much and was very happy to award her the Rcc later in the day, congratulations. I will follow her show carrier with interest.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mr S,Mrs V,MR P & Mrs M Worsley`s Primus Encore avec Malpa. 19-month-old fawn Bitch another very pretty girl with excellent head plans, dark mask and correct ear set, ok shoulders, nice firm topline and adequate rear angulation, did not have the reach & drive of my winner.
3^rd Mrs A Harrison`s Rioco my one and only to Jasnettdanes JW.

Graduate Bitch 9 (3)
1^st Mrs R Wright`s Novavida Sweet Iris at Irieusdane. Pretty solid Blue with good head plans, good ear set and correct length of neck. Adequate shoulder placement, good topline. She won her place being the best mover of the class, handler needs to let this girl stand herself as her croup and rear angulation are much better & the dog is more relaxed. 
2<sup>nd</sup> Mrs S Tempest`s Adoreadane licence to kill AI.  Harlequin would like a squarer drop of lip and a tighter eye but gives a nice side profile on the stand, still needs to fill in width and depth in chest. Good strong topline, a little straight on rear angulation at moment. Moved ok.
3^rd Mrs R Evens Belarosedane Lady Bayleigh.

Post Graduate Bitch 6 (1)
1^st Mrs C Mackenzie`s Carsan Luciana. Solid Black with a stunning outline in profile, wasn’t the easiest to assess as was playing the handler up today, correct head plans with good ear set, strong neck going into well angulated shoulders, well filled chest and deep ribcage. Firm topline with enough rear angulation, moved with reach & drive when she wasn’t playing the foul.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mrs S  Bourton¬Thorne`s  Verano Vivacious. Fawn that was smaller all over then my winner, correct head plans with pale mask, strong neck, slightly upright in shoulder. Good topline, ok croup with enough rear angulation, hard to assess movement as was pulling away from runner. 
3^rd Mrs M Cubitt`s Zebeldanes paint it black.

Limit Bitch 8 (2)
1^st Mrs L Collett`s Foaldown Dark Secret, Upstanding tall solid black, so much to like about this bitch & she was in my final 4 for top honors. excellent head plans, dark eye & good ear set, she has a very good lay of shoulder, enough width & depth of chest & correct ribcage.  A good strong topline & plenty of rear angulation, with the sun on her shinning black coat she looks a real picture with her long-arched neck. She powered around the ring which her owner struggled to keep up, she really is one to watch  in the future as she still has more maturing to do yet. 
2<sup>nd</sup> Miss S Fletcher`s Jusinian Bea my sweetheart. Another very pretty fawn girl with a real classic chiseled head, dark mask and ears which where well set good strong neck going into ok shoulders. Level topline and good croup. Good rear angulation, she didn’t have the front movement of my winner.
3^rd Mr & Mrs  J Martin`s Keishant Athena.

Open Bitch 6
1^st Ms L & Mr A Chappell`s CH Selmalda Oh Lori (AI) Wow This girl had everything I was looking for and more to spare, she didn’t stop showing from the second she walked in the ring and had a real dash & dare about her, quite a strong bitch but still feminine, excellent length of fore face which matched her back skull, well set ears which she uses all the time keeping her looking alert, as soon as her owner lifts his hand her neck grows even longer, excellent angles for and aft, good deep spring of rib and excellent chest. Her tail never stopped wagging wanting to please her handler. The power, reach and drive she had going around the ring was a wonderful sight, I was very happy to award her The CC and with the Referees decision Best in Show. So well deserved. Huge congratulations.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mr E & Mrs D Clark`s CH Garsak Summer Days at Mintrex. Another excellent example of our breed, finer than my winner but still very balanced, she has a stunning well-proportioned head, dark mask with kind dark eyes. Long neck going into an excellent lay of shoulder, good strong topline and rear angulation, she didn’t have the movement of my winner today, maybe the 3 days of showing was taking its toll as I have seen her go so much better in the past.
3^rd Miss H D S Windmill`s Murrayvhale Miz Congenial.

Champion Bitch, Absent. 

Beginners Bitch, 4(1)
1^st Miss P L Brookes Danemoor Penny Lane, pretty solid blue, good length of foreface & eat set, solid short neck going into adequate shoulder placement. Would of liked a firmer topline and better croup, she tends to roach a little on the stand and this also seen in movement.
2^nd Mrs R Evans Belarosedane Lady Bayleigh, young Harlequin. preferred the head of my winner, has lovely long arched neck going into ok shoulder placement, has good bone for size, better topline then my winner & moved well with her handler.
3^rd Mrs C Grants Lomondane Ca Canny at Eildane.

Special Open Fawn 4 (1)
1^st Mcguinness & Nelson¬Mcguinness`s Dinahtron Pumkin Pie Beautiful fawn with a lovely outline in profile stood, excellent head plans with the darkest of masks, good ear set and good strong arched neck. Good shoulder placement, strong top line and rear angulation. Very unsettled on her movement today but nevertheless a lovely bitch.
2<sup>nd</sup> Ms L & Mrs T Page & Concannon`s Novavida Pendle Dreamer. Another pretty Fawn with a lovely feminine head, dark mask and good ear set. Adequate shoulder placement & good topline, needs more rear angulation.
3^rd Mr N said &Mrs J Whites Jutlanders are you ready JW (IMP DK)

Special open Brindle 3  (1)
1^st Mr N Morgans Rimor Athen`s Kyss, very dark brindle that has a lovely outline on profile in stand, lovely long arched neck and good topline, needs more reach & drive on the move.
2<sup>nd</sup> Ms A Merwick`s Taradanes Star vision for Saalan. Nicely Marked Brindle, lost out on maternity in this class as looked very much the baby against the winner, still needs to body up all over and I am sure she will. Moved well.

Special Open Black. 3 (1)
1^st Mrs L Collett`s Foaldown Dark Secret. Winner of my limit class.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mrs C Macenzie`s Carsan Luciana. Winner of my post grad class.

Special Open Blue 6 (1)
1^st Miss J Middleton`s Dornoir Sinead. This Girl made it to my final 4 for top honors, Stunning solid blue that was so well balanced on the stand and when moving, has very good head plans & correct ear set. excellent shoulder  placement and strong topline. Good croup and rear angulation. Moved so well with plenty of reach and drive, sadly the heat got to her in the final line up and she was dropping her topline. A very nice blue that could win top spot on another day.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mrs R Wright`s Novavida Sweet Iris at Irieusdane. Winner of graduate.
3^rd Mrs S C J Kelleway`s Taysca Stele mici with Stevarah.

Special Open Harlequin. 7(5)
1^st Miss T & Mrs L Pocock`s Tamzdane Bananas on the rum. Nicely mark Harlequin with good length if foreface and tight eyes, good strong arched neck going into a correct la of shoulder, good topline and rear angulation moved very well with reach and drive.
2<sup>nd</sup> Mr J Hugill`s Damarkann Jewel of Shalrace, Taller more elegant bitch from side profile, still needs to fill out in chest, bit straight in upper arm which made her movement erratic, long arched neck, still a little bum high which affected her topline. 
3^rd Mrs A Bliss`s Stagbatch Hi De Hi.

Special Open Mantle 1
1^st Mrs S C J Kelleway`s Damarkann Raydiance with Stevarh, Correctly marked Mantle, good head and length of foreface, long arched neck, she is a bit straight in upper arm which made her movement erratic, good strong topline but does drop of at croup,
