Mrs Diane Norman-Cowley
Mrs Jeanette Park
Honorary Life Vice President
I have been involved with my wife Marion with Great Danes since 1980. It has been my honour and privilege to serve on The Great Dane Club committee since 1992, first as Treasurer and then as Chairman. I have also served as the Treasurer and Secretary for The Great Dane Breed Council, and am currently the Treasurer of The Hereditary Register. I am passionately interested in the health and welfare of our wonderful breed.
I owned my first Great Dane Talula, a fawn bitch, in 1989. I breed very occasionally and have been very lucky to qualify one of my pups for D.O.T.Y. and another to make the Kennel Club Junior Warrent Finals at Crufts. I am owned by six Great Danes at the moment, three generations, all living in the house with myself and my partner Denys. Currently I show two very naughty youngsters, to everyone’s amusement.
Vice Chairman, Championship Show Manager, Webmaster & Newsletter Editor
I fell in love with the breed when I had my first Great Dane, Harvey, in 2001. I have been around the show world since 2003 and was given the opportunity to join The Great Dane Club Committee in 2010. I help run The Great Dane Club Championship Show that is held at Crick (Northamptonshire) in August, and have taken over the clubs website, I am also the editor of our annual newsletter. If you have any special events or would like us to share anything with the Great Dane community please let us know.
Members Limited Show Manager & Temporary Membership Secretary
I have been a Dane slave for 29 years thanks to my first black rescue girl introducing me to this wonderful breed. I then fell in love at Crufts with Blue’s which is where my passion now lies although I currently share my life with a Blue male and a Harlequin girl. I look forward to handing over some fabulous trophies to you all at our club shows.
Treasurer & Club Health Officer
Having grown up with Rhodesian Ridgebacks in my family I finally got my first Dane a Brindle Male in 1999. We now lucky to have 4 generations Blue and Black Danes living with us and regularly travel to Europe to show them. I first joined the GDC committee in 2003 and served in several positions including Treasurer before leaving the committee in 2009 then rejoining in 2016.
